Savoyard reunion

Back from our trip to the Italian Great Lakes region, while waiting to take a step back to tell you about it... I propose a confirmation of our enthusiasm for the "France Passion" stops.

After the stop in Provence on the way there, here is the Savoyard stop on the way back!

The retirement roads revived very old memories of our student life by bringing us back to Savoie after passing through the Fréjus tunnel (due to snow on the Montgenèvre pass, further south, which was our initial plan).

The stop proposed by France Passion on a dairy farm south of Albertville, in addition to the friendly welcome, the discovery of unknown species of chickens laying blue eggs (yes, yes! blue eggs!), the tasty tasting of Savoie tomme and beaten fromage blanc... provided a sumptuous landscape facing the Vanoise massif just opposite.

The Isère Valley, south of Albertville, in April: combining a spring atmosphere in the valley while keeping the great spectacle of the snow-capped peaks of the Vanoise.

Vanoise Massif where the story of two medical students from the UER Grange Blanche in Lyon began with a hike together, a long time ago.

And it was not the return of the cows from their pasture, at the fading daylight, that was going to disturb the serenity of the place

Further away, the Beaufortin massif lights up at sunset, reviving other memories... with the children this time, who discovered snow there.

In the morning when waking up, since there is no rush to break camp, a short walk on a path overlooking the valley under a bright sun

The opportunity to discover non-Mediterranean flower species, for a change... like the Creeping Bugle that you are discovering like me... A plant that you would not see in Nîmes where it would be too dry, it is known for its healing properties (it was called for this reason the carpenter's herb)

The black kite flies over the valley in search of prey..

And this little sparrow hidden in its colorful foliage seems intrigued by the photographer!

On this magnificent day under an immaculate sky, all that was left was to take the road back to the south by the Route Napoléon, splendid in this month of April with its snow-capped peaks and the Devoluy massif further south which prolongs the spectacle...

Two stops, each time memorable... we are not done with France Passion!
