Relations between farmers and society...

"Agribashing" is the systematic denigration of agricultural practices, which are said to be responsible for all the ills, in terms of water quality, food, etc. Attacked in the press and on social media, even assaulted on their farms and in their fields... there are many reasons for farmers' anger.

The first victims of climate change, our farmers suffered a severe drought last year and are now experiencing incessant rain, compromising their planting. Concern is growing again about future harvests and therefore their income. At the same time, they feel increasingly stigmatized, considered "outsiders."

For some time now, systematic denigration has been peddled by more or less honest associations, which do not always seek to understand how our farmers actually work.

Accusing them of poisoning us or mistreating animals may be a bit short-sighted. Just keep in mind that French agricultural products are considered the best and safest in the world, and that our farm animals, for the most part, live in conditions that many of their fellow creatures, here and there on the planet, would envy!

As you know, the reality is often quite different from what the most extreme or the more or less well-informed, or even malicious, media outlets say. During your stay, you can see firsthand the efforts of your hosts to produce ever better, to meet your expectations as closely as possible. The vast majority of our farmers deserve our trust, and our "agri… loving"!
